Transform Your Life Through Immersive Healing

Experiential Therapy Intensives

When you’re ready to finally transform your life, an Experiential Therapy Intensive with Aimee Hadfield, LCSW, CET3, can help. Talk therapy is good; experiential therapy with Aimee can help you finally address the root causes of behaviors you’d like to change, helping you be who you want to be.

Traditional talk therapy works great for a lot of people and a lot of challenges, but like anything, it has limitations. One of those limitations is short sessions. You know that feeling when everything seems to come up right at the end of your session? You feel like you’re almost to a key insight when your therapist is about to say “We’re out of time.” You leave feeling all sorts of ways, but “better” isn’t one of the feelings you’re feeling?

Let’s change that.

Imagine an immersive, co-created, hands-on approach to healing and personal growth. Therapy where you learn how to trust yourself more, find and heal the root causes of your symptoms and performance blocks, and learn to trust the wisdom of your own body. If that sounds like what you’re seeking, an experiential therapy intensive with Aimee may be just what you need.

Experiential therapy is an umbrella term for a group of methods that are active or expressive, engage your body, mind, and spirit, and are co-created between you and your therapist, Aimee Hadfield.

These methods engage your full system rather than just the cognitive part of your brain. (That’s only about 20% of your brain. There is a lot more to you than that!)

Most experiential techniques involve your body, mind, and spirit. Experiential methods are hands-on, immersive, and allow you to connect with yourself in different ways than you might imagine when you think of traditional talk therapy.

When you engage your full system in the therapy process, you get a felt sense of new knowledge and insight that lead to growth and change.

In experiential therapy, we’ll engage in physical, emotional, and sensory experiences to promote healing and growth. Rather than simply talking about your problems, we’ll create moments where you actively engage in activities and exercises. Those moments help you explore your past experiences, renegotiate experiences of pain and trauma, and work through your emotions.

Experiential therapy intensives with Aimee take all of this to the next level. Together, we will co-create an immersive, multi-day experience that allows you to fully be present in the healing process. The intensive focus overcomes the shortcomings of talk therapy sessions and preserves your growth by avoiding life stressors and distractions between weekly scheduled traditional therapy sessions

Many people wonder about the term “co-create.” Aimee firmly believes you are the expert in your life and there is a part of you that knows how to thrive. She explains, “Together, we’ll use your body's wisdom and my skillful application of an intermodal approach to therapy to create an individualized plan to help you reach your goals. (Intermodal means we switch experiential therapy techniques to use the best tool for what we’re addressing.)  I have advanced training in several action and expressive methods that allows me to integrate IFS (Internal Family Systems) parts work, Psychodrama, somatic healing, RTR (Relational Trauma Repair), Sociometrics, Expressive Arts Therapies, Sandtray, Brainspotting, writing, mindfulness, and more in our work together.”

No matter what your challenges are, Aimee’s extensive experiential therapy training and expertise can help.

Whether you're struggling with experiences of trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or other mental health challenges, experiential therapy intensives with Aimee can provide a safe and supportive environment for you to explore and process your emotions.
